The Risk of Getting IT Wrong: Often Overlooked Aspects of Cloud & Digital Transformation.

Technology adoption has accelerated by 5 to 10 years due to the global pandemic. Alas, going faster can lead to challenges later if critical elements are overlooked along the way. Learn about key and foundational aspects when undergoing Cloud & Digital Transformation as presented CBTS’ Innovation Strategist, Justin Rice. Justin will cover several critical – but frequently forgotten – areas across the pillars of Strategy, Applications, Security, and Network and why they matter so much to the overall experience for your stakeholders. Case studies featuring multi-cloud As-a-Service and SaaS strategies will be presented to outline the risk and impact of not addressing these areas – especially in the accelerated transformation sprint many organizations are facing today.

Mergers & Acquisitions: A Catalyst for IT Transformation

Mergers and acquisition activity through the first nine months of 2018 totaled $2.72 trillion across more than 13,500 deals –the second highest value on record, according to Mergermarket. Logicalis has vast experience in helping our clients prepare for, and integrate following these transactions. CIOs should view M&A (or divestiture or re-org) as a catalyst for rethinking outdated IT operating models and transitioning to an “extensible” IT framework leveraging the cloud that makes it easier to deploy, connect, and manage new business services. This long-term, strategic view reduces the inevitable friction that comes into play when two organizations merge, while positioning the combined organization to more quickly capture future benefits as a digital business. Logicalis will share best practices and examples of how we were able to help our clients leverage the compelling event of a merger or acquisition to transform IT through the cloud.
