Attracting, Managing & Retaining the Global, Mobile and Virtual Workforce

The workforce of the present and future does not look like the workforce of the past. Technology has caused a major workforce shift. Today, it's not unusual for employees to be spread across the globe. IDC estimated mobile workers numbered more than one billion in 2011, and this number is expected to grow. A virtual workforce gives organizations flexibility, but also poses new challenges. Without traditional face-to-face time, how do managers create, sustain, support, and reward a passionate and productive workforce?

Our Keynote Speaker and panel of leading senior IT executives will explore strategies to engage employees and build trust; technology that is making this work shift more manageable; how to manage performance of a virtual workforce; how to reduce virtual distance, build a virtual team and recreate your organization by offering current and prospective employees flexibility, social interaction, visibility and a fun work environment.

One of the most challenging problems business executives face is employee resistance to change. We see it in many shapes and forms and quite often it is very subtle and hard to detect on time.  The key to the problem is to understand the true nature of resistance and how to deal with it effectively.  This session will examine the nature of change from all aspects, including its typical life cycle, but will concentrate more heavily on the resistance aspects and impacts.  The session will also engage the audience in a brief dialogue to solicit feedback and real life examples when it comes to resistance to change.
